After you submit your application, our Talent Acquisition department will conduct a thorough review of your resume. If we believe you are a potential fit for the position, a recruiter will schedule a brief phone or video discussion to review the details of the role and inquire about your experience. Next, we will schedule a video interview between you and the hiring manager to dive into the clinical aspects of the position. If you and the hiring manager would like to move forward, we will proceed with a site visit at the center(s) where you would be placed and conduct a reference check.
Typically, it takes 30-90 days from offer acceptance until a new hire starts with AlignMed. During this period our Talent Acquisition and Credentialing teams conduct a background screening and initiate the credentialing process. We take great care to ensure you are ready for your first day with AlignMed.
AlignMed Partners has a dedicated team of clinical educators who lead orientation modules for new providers during their 90-day onboarding period. In addition, providers will have 1:1 on-site support from a Clinical Team Leader and an Area Clinical Practice Manager throughout their tenure with AlignMed. For new providers to post-acute care practice, AlignMed offers EMERGE, an 18-month self-paced program to develop the skills needed to be successful in this setting.
AlignMed uses Practitioner Workspace, an advanced EMR that is integrated into our client facilities’ core systems, allowing for a streamlined documentation experience that enables our medical providers to focus on their top priority – their patients.
Operator FAQs
We staff facilities with comprehensively trained medical directors and medical providers and deliver medical services tailored to each facility’s unique needs in primary care, wound care, palliative care, and occupational health.
For too long, healthcare providers have devoted minimal attention to the nursing home and senior living settings, instead choosing to focus on their core hospital and outpatient practices. AlignMed is the exception. We are purpose-built to deliver the highest quality geriatric care in institutional settings with a track record spanning two decades. We support our providers with setting-specific training and cutting edge technology to support excellent care, and we hold ourselves accountable for outcomes.
We invest in the success of our providers to ensure the best possible outcomes. As part of our ongoing efforts and clinical training, we provide:
- Comprehensive orientation to foster success in your role.
- Clinical training in the care of adults with serious illnesses.
- In partnership with CAPC, AlignMed has designed a structured curriculum for providers to complete during their orientation and beyond. Providers have unlimited access to a large library of resources to enhance their skills and earn CEUs.
- Industry specific education—orienting providers to practicing in post-acute settings. This includes clinical and CMS/regulatory training.
- Provider toolkits—developed to provide resources for managing common clinical issues for the post-acute population.
- Management and leadership supports (toolkits).
- Regular touchpoints with leadership and team-level emphasis on clinical practice updates.
- 1:1 support for all providers (new hire, provider with challenges in a center) through our Clinical Team Leader program.
- Knowledgeable and accessible support teams—all providers receive billing & coding education to ensure compliance with CMS regulations. Internal audits to ensure compliant billing. Access to certified coders to answer questions as needed.
- A Branded mentoring program, EMERGE (Engaging Mentorship, Empowering Results, Growth Experienced) which is designed to empower and guide providers through the early stages of their career. This program is team-based with self paced modules completed over an 18-month period. It is structured to enhance providers' knowledge and help them navigate the challenges that arise in the healthcare industry.
AlignMed bills patients’ insurance plans for medical care, and skilled nursing facilities pay AlignMed directly for medical director services. In addition, facility operators may choose to purchase units of AlignMed Nurse Practitioners’ and Physicians Assistants’ time to support facility needs that are not billable to insurance, e.g., nursing staff training and RN-level care.
Healthcare providers choose AlignMed for its supportive culture that prioritizes skill development, professional growth, and flexibility. Our experienced team of Regional Medical Directors, APP Managers and Clinical Educators ensure that clinicians of every experience level are empowered to deliver excellent patient care. We invest in our providers’ professional development through a career ladder that promotes continued learning and progressive leadership opportunities. This is why so many of our leaders and providers choose to stay with AlignMed for many years, even decades.
